Elementor gives you design freedom, but that freedom can become DOM depth, unused widget assets, and expensive third-party scripts. Speed work is most effective when it starts with structure.
Five high-impact fixes
1. Use containers and reduce nesting
Flexbox Containers can replace layers of sections and inner sections. Fewer wrappers mean simpler layout calculations and easier responsive maintenance.
2. Enable optimized Elementor asset experiments
Review Improved Asset Loading, Improved CSS Loading, Flexbox Containers, and Grid Containers in a staging environment. Test forms, menus, and dynamic widgets after each change.
3. Optimize the first image
Serve an appropriately sized AVIF or WebP hero image, give it dimensions, and use fetchpriority=“high” only when it is the page’s largest contentful element.
4. Delay non-critical scripts
